Our Origin
One night, a young college kid named Cleva Kah dreamed of a girl he’d never met. Her essence commanded attention from everyone, turning heads as she glided across campus.
He awoke and began sketching all he could remember of her regalness. His vision was so defined that he captured every detail from her statuesque silhouette to her contoured dress that draped over her shoulders with a vintage gathered bodice and cascading godets that flowed like the wind.
His dream introduced him to the love of his life and his conviction sent him on a mission scouring the yard, showing the sketch to everyone and asking, “have you seen my dream girl?’ Instead of focusing on her, many fell in love with the dress and asked, “are you a designer?”
It was then that he realized the image’s reflection, eMaGi, was her name and the love of Cleva’s life was his design.
Our Philosophy
The House of eMaG is a unique fashion house that understands that fashion is a reflection of self.
Our Founder & Creative Director, Cleva Kah, grew up as an awkward, tall, and super skinny boy who struggled with confidence and always felt self-conscious about his body frame. Through fashion, however, he discovered a new form of self-expression, and his unique style became a way to showcase confidence. Although his journey was challenging, it ultimately taught him self-acceptance and selflove.
As a brand, eMaGi embodies the saying "fashion is art and you are the canvas," encouraging everyone to embrace their unique beauty and shine from within.
Our mission is not just a statement, but a driving force that permeates every aspect of our work, from diverse representation in our ad campaigns to our impactful community events, workshops, and commitment to giving back through various charitable initiatives.
