Our Philosophy
The House of eMaGi is an arts-centered fashion organization dedicated to advancing fashion as a cultural and creative medium. We approach style as a living form of artistic expression—one that preserves heritage, shapes identity, and reflects the diversity of the communities we serve.
This mission is personal. Our Founder, Cleva Kah, transformed early experiences of insecurity into a lifelong commitment to using fashion as a tool for self-expression, cultural narrative, confidence building, and community visibility. Our work is rooted in the belief that fashion is art, and every individual is a canvas with a story worth honoring.
More than a brand, The House of eMaGi produces artistic programming that are explicitly arts- and culture-driven—bridging fashion design, theatrical presentation, community education, and cultural storytelling. Our aim is to create transformative spaces where creativity, artistry, and representation are not only seen, but felt—and where self-expression becomes both empowerment and cultural celebration.
Our Origin
One night, a young college kid named Cleva Kah dreamed of a girl he’d never met. Her essence commanded attention from everyone, turning heads as she glided across campus.
He awoke and began sketching all he could remember of her regalness. His vision was so defined that he captured every detail from her statuesque silhouette to her contoured dress that draped over her shoulders with a vintage gathered bodice and cascading godets that flowed like the wind.
His dream introduced him to the love of his life and his conviction sent him on a mission scouring the yard, showing the sketch to everyone and asking, “have you seen my dream girl?’ Instead of focusing on her, many fell in love with the dress and asked, “are you a designer?”
It was then that he realized the image’s reflection, eMaGi, was her name and the love of Cleva’s life was his design.
